I know it has been quite awhile. I am obsessed with my IPAD that Mike gave me. I need to learn how to post from my ipad so I can stay current. 21 days until i leave for Italy! Hopefully I will have everything done in time and I can get on the plane in peace.

Can it be true?

Hannah is studying for her permit test. Is this possible that she is old enough to drive???
Hannah was also elected Secretary for Student Council next year, she ran unopposed so no great suspense on waiting for the results. Megan is rethinking her decision to attend NAU and may be attending a junior College so that she can have a dual major.

Prom weekend

They say that it takes a village to raise a child but I think it takes a super supportive family to get one through prom! Thanks to Nancy and Kevin we had tables and chairs for 35, Thanks to Karen and Dain for loaning their house to 35 teenagers and their photo carrying parents and thanks to Mike and Hannah for help with clean up and set up. It was a great night and I think the kids had a great time and we are in the home stretch of Megan's senior year.

Motherhood Confessions
On Bits and Pieces a blog I enjoy; she posted her motherhood confessions and encouraged her readers to do the same.
So here goes:
1. I never think of myself as a mother and am kind of surprised that I have kids
2. I would love to have had a boy but secretly glad that I have only girls.
3. I still have baby weight even though my "baby" is 15
4. My greatest fear is that something will happen to the girls, it never leaves my mind and I try and not let it change what I let them do.
5. I am always amazed that they have turned out to be good kids.
6.I am so thankful that they have cousins and Aunts, Uncles and Grandparents that love them, takes some pressure off of me,
7. Sometimes I enjoy being alone and stay out of the house when they are needy.
8. I hope they stay close to me when they are adults.
9. I am not as disciplined as I sould be with them, I am the "nice" one in the house.
10. It is important to me that my kids friends like me and feel comfortable at the house even though I complain about the house always being dirty.
11. I am sad that Megan is going away to college in the Fall but I am also proud of her for being able to leave home.
12. I wish that we would have had more kids but I have been tired for 17 years and do not know how we could have managed more.
13. I am jealous that they have their whole lives ahead of them but would not want to be a teenager again for any amount of money
14. I hope they are happy and I have taught them the skills that they will need in life; but don't think that I have.

Passport, Estate Sales and Organizing
WOW, super fun and busy day. The highlight was definitely seeing Mia and Calvin. Nancy and I went out to some Estate sales and then to the post office to get our passports for Italy. The line was super long but didn't take as long as I thought it would. Then it was over to Nancy's to help her organize her scrapbook room. I thought that I had a lot of stuff! Nancy collects

Prom Shoppping
Megan and I went to the mall on Tuesday to look for her prom dress. I love shopping with this girl. She hates to shop as much as I do! We went into Nordstrom and purchased her dress, got her shoes (beaded silver sandals) from a shoe store and even had tine to get bra's at Victoria Secrets. Oh gotta love a girl who can power shop and get us out of the mall in time to watch Mike pitch in the Ironwood baseball tournament (her Mike, not mine). We have had mani/pedis, brow waxing and a hair cut for me this week. If I could just lose 30 lbs this week as well it would be a fantastic week off!

Homecoming

Homecoming week is over with so I finally get my daughter and my house back. It is such a crazy time for Megan with student council. Besides building a float, planning and executing the Pep Assembly, teaching a dance to "The Boy cheerleaders" and all the other activity that surrounds this week, Megan is supposed to actually attend her classes and do homework. I was able to attend the Pep assembly this week and they did a great job. Mike and I went to the football game with Jeanne and George Gladden Friday night, which was really fun. Megan's friends come over on Saturday to get ready for the dance, Maria did an AMAZING job on their makeup! After the dance, they came back to the house for the "afterparty" and at around 4am the boys left and they finally got to sleep. Hannah went to the dance and a party and I picked her up at 1:00am. She hung with the group until the end. Needless to say we all slept in today!

Hannah turns 15!

Can you believe that Hannah is 15 years old? I can not. Her birthday this year was a tad busy as she had school and a volleyball game. After the game (which she won) we took her and Kaila out to Top Shelf for dinner and then home to open the few presents that she had. Hannah chose to go shopping for her birthday so we are off to the mall today to pick out what she would like. Her friends decorated her locker and she had enough cake, cookies and candy to last her for some time. Next weekend her and Kaila are celebrating with a party at the house for their joint birthday month with 35 to 40 friends over. I thought I was good about stretching my birthday out for the month but she is so much better!
