Friday Finally!

What a super long week and so glad that it is over with. One more long week and I can say goodbye to April and my hell month. Hannah had promotion pictures on Tuesday, she looked really pretty but because she was sick over the weekend, her dress was a little big on her. We will have to fatten her up before next month. Hannah has a volleyball tournament tomorrow and then relay for life tomorrow night, I am going to veg this weekend and try to get my feet from throbbing before Monday.

Weekend wrapup

OMG I loved this movie! Beside the obvious of looking at Zac Efron for the entire movie, the story was cute and really funny. Hannah was home sick so I will have to see it again with her (oh darn). The rest of the weekend has been pretty laid back. Lost 2.4 lbs at WW and got some work done around the house. This week at work will be tough and then one more week and I will get my life back. One month from Wednesday and we will be leaving for NY!

Saturday schedue

So happy the week is done and we finally have a day for relaxation! Mike is playing golf, Hannah is down with a bug of some kind and Megan is catching up on sleep and homework after a super busy week. I am doing laundry, reading a book and preparing to go see a movie this afternoon. Even the dogs are snoring on their beds. Gotta love a day with nothing scheduled.
PS to Dana-so true on the comments and yes it was the one you mentioned who started the fray. Good to see that some things don't change.

Family Picture 101

Okay so every holiday I ask my family to please be prepared to take a family picture. I warn them ahead of time that hair, makeup and outfit should be photo ready and I would appreciate their help in getting a good shot. Why this continues to be a challenge I do not know. Why people (Mike) can not just smile for the camera and keep their hands (Mike) to themselves puzzles me. Thank god for digital and the ability to erase; but I like to keep the pictures as proof that my life is not easy.

Easter Sunday

We had a blast on Easter hanging around, doing a photo scavenger hunt (which Bryon, Emily, Karen and AJ won) and taking pictures. Of course eating was a big part of the day as well; but mostly it was about enjoying the day with family. Emily really is showing and Katie just beginning to show. Still can't believe that they are both having babies and I can't wait until they let me babysit!! We missed having Dana, Scotty and Susan/Family with us, but they were in our thoughts.

End of the basketball season for Hannah

Well they played well but were outmatched by the Oasis team. The first game was against Heritage and Marshall Ranch won in overtime. Hannah was called for a technical foul and was taken out of the game. I was so proud :) Mike told her to get aggressive; maybe he should have qualified the statement and not appear so aggressive that the referee thought she was going after another player. In the second game against Oasis; Hannah scored 2 points with a basket that was nothing but net! Katie and Nancy came and watched the second game as well as Megan. Hannah really appreciated the support and the cheering squad. This ends her basketball season and while this is not her favorite sport; I was proud of all of the effort she gave to learning the game and how much she improved over the season.

Megan and I went to breakfast at 5 and Diner to catch up from the week. It is amazing how little I see of her now that she drives and is so busy with school and student council. I love our early morning time when it is just the two of us. Hannah has divisionals for basketball and a party tonight and Mike is working for baseball today. I awoke to the sound of rain and thunder and to say that I wished I could lay in bed all day and read would be an understatement. I actually had to bring out my jacket this morning again. Strange weather today. Off to watch Hannah and then home to make cupcakes and brownies for Easter and find a way to invite Andy to the Easter celebration without violating the restraining order he has against me. Something about being older than his mom seems to creep him out. Oh well just can't figuire out these young men.

This makes me happy today!

Is it Friday yet? Guess not as it is only Wednesday and I still have two more days of work until I am off. Hannah had her final regular season basketball game today. It was a physical game against Desert Valley and unfortunately Marshall Ranch lost. I think that the girls are as aggressive as the boys, and I was proud of how well Hannah played. I will post pictures of the game tomorrow; hopefully they turned out okay as I am still learning to use the new camera.

Miss President Megan

Megan was elected Student Body President for next year! She ran unopposed and so I would like to think that everybody else thought that they could not beat her and not that it will be so much work that she will not have a life! I am proud of her and know that she will do a good job!

Just got done watching Idol and here are my thoughts just in case you were wondering. I like Adam, Allison and Kris but think that Adam will be the winner. Darn that age limit of 32 or I would be so on the stage next season. Even have my song picked out; it would be Tracy Chapman's Gimme One Reason. I do a killer version in the car I will say.
Went to Mr Ironwood last night with Karen and omg it was funny. Nice guys and really a lot of laughs. So glad that I went and even worth working until midnight to get my work done.
Super excited to see that Mikela commented on Megan's prom date. The girls were just talking about how much they missed the "dolls". We will have to do a GNI ( that is girls night in).

Prom and Volleyball

Megan went to prom last night with Austin, Kelsey and Mike. It was such a long day as we started the day at the Sandra Day O'Connor courthouse to set up for the prom, then off to Dillard's Arrowhead for makeup and hair. Maria did an amazing job on her makeup! After a quick bite at Paradise Bakery it was throw on the dress and get to Kelsey's for pictures and leave. After Megan left, I went to Hannah's volleyball tournament and made it in time for the last match. They lost the match but got 4th place in the tournament. The girls wanted to go to Fridays so we went to celebrate Mckenzie's birthday. It was really fun and a nice way to end the day. Kourtney, Mckenzie and Julia all spent the night and their laughing kept me up until midnight!

Feeling Better Today

Thanks for the well wishes on the root canal, I am feeling better today and at least the pain is manageable with a few Tylenol and a stiff drink (oops I mean a soothing glass of Tea.). I went to Tucson today and just got back and so ready for the weekend. Saturday is Megan's prom and Hannah has a volleyball tournament so just a normal busy weekend. I will post pictures of Megan after she has her hair and makeup done. Hoping that I don't cry when I see her.
