Mia is finally here!

I know th
at I am super behind as usual on the blog postings; but life seems to be moving too fast and I can not seem to catch up. Mike, Hannah and I took Megan up to NAU to visit her friend Allison. Megan completely fell in love with the NAU campus and had an amazing time with Allison. After dropping Megan off, we drove around downtown, took some really cool pictures of some old signs and building, had lunch at Oregano's and then headed home as a storm rolled in. Super nice day and nice to spend some time with Mike and Hannah.

Rest and Relaxation

How does a week go by so fast? Mike is on the mend and planning to go to work tomorrow. He is off the pain pills and trying to use the shoulder more. We will see how he feels in the morning, but as of now it looks like he is ready to go back. The girls go back to school after enjoying a three day weekend for Labor day. They had a very social weekend and we did not get to spend a lot of time together during my vacation. I go back to work on Wednesday and have a lot to do tomorrow to get ready for my meeting on Thursday. Ironwood had their first pep assembly on Friday and by the looks of the pictures, it was a success. Hannah has a volleyball game at home on Thursday at 4:00pm this week and I will get the schedule out asap. I know that she really enjoyed all of the support that she received for her first game!

Hannah Volleyball

Ironwood freshman won their match against Horizon freshman in a hard fought three game match. Hannah is getting better and better in the position of setter and seems to be enjoying the new challenge. Unfortunately the JV and Varsity teams did not fair as well as the freshman. Mike went with me to the game and until the end he did well; when the pain medicine wore off he was ready to go home and hook back up his ice pack (super cool ice machine that he got from the doctor).
Home playing nurse

Mike had his surgery yesterday and is dong remarkably well. He had a bone spur removed, a tear in the tissue and arthritis removed and the Doctor is hopeful that he will have full use of the shoulder with no pain. He is feeling it more today and I have to get him out of the sling and get him to start moving the arm, thank god for pain killers! He has been a pretty easy patient as he really hates being waited on; but I am enjoying the nurse role for now. Off work until the 9th so planning on getting some things done around here and started by fumigating the girls rooms. OMG teenagers like to live in dirt.
